The Accidental Husband

"The Accidental Husband" centers on Emma (Uma Thurman) a successful but uptight relationship expert with a hit radio show and an upcoming book. She is serious and sensible about the issue of love and gives frank, 'on the nose' advice to women on how to find the right man without wasting time on the wrong ones in between. Emma believes she has met her own perfect match in Richard (Colin Firth) a successful and conservative publishing executive.

Of course matters of the heart are never as clean cut as Emma believes them to be! Just weeks before her wedding Emma discovers she is somehow already married to Patrick (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) an irresponsible but charming neighborhood fireman with a big secret ...the marriage is no accident.

It turns out Patrick is harboring a grudge -- his fiancée broke up with him after receiving relationship advice from Emma on her show. The "accidental" marriage is a prank Patrick pulled to cause chaos in Emma's apparently perfect love life and show her what it feels like to have a complete stranger meddle with your life.

Unable to come clean, Patrick goes along with the ruse pretending to be just as baffled as Emma. Whilst trying to figure out how to end the marriage their opposite approaches to life create much tension and chaos. But as they spend more time together, Patrick starts to fall in love with the woman he thinks ruined his future marriage and Emma starts to admire his carefree, reckless passion for life and doubt her own conservative, button-down views on life and ..

三国之见龙卸甲 Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon(2008)

Andy Lau stars as Zhao Zilong, a veteran general of the Kingdom of Shu who took a last stand against the invading forces from the Kingdom of Wei. Maggie Q is the fictional Cao Ying, a grand-daughter of the warlord Cao Cao, whose son Cao Pi became the first emperor of the Kingdom of Wei.

The story depicts an alternate history, following the events that unfolded in the Three Kingdoms era through the life of the legendary Shu general Zhao Zilong. Zhao Zilong began his military career as a soldier in Liu Bei's army. Zhao Zilong once displayed his fine spear skills to Liu Bei in a small face-off with Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. This impressed Liu Bei, and he decided to promote Zhao Zilong to the rank of a general. Zhao Zilong was bestowed with the 'All Piercing Spear'.

Zhao Zilong scored his first victory in battle by outwitting Cao Cao at the Battle of Changban. He managed to rescue Liu Bei's son, A Dou from the clutches of the forces of Cao Cao by fighting them single-handedly. Cao Cao's life was put in great peril and he also lost his personal weapon to Zhao Zilong. Cao Ying, who had witnessed Zhao Zilong's acts, swore to help her grandfather regain his lost pride by capturing Zhao Zilong alive.

As history passed, Zhao Zilong had never lost in any battle he fought in, hence earning himself the title of 'The Undefeated General'(長勝將軍). Cao Pi forced the last ruling Han emperor to abdicate in his favour and proclaimed himself Emperor of the Kingdom of Wei. Thereafter, Liu Bei assumed the title of Emperor of Shu-Han as a spiritual successor to the fallen Han dynasty by carrying on the family name. Zhao Zilong joined the ranks of Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Ma Chao and Huang Zhong to be one of the Five Tiger Generals sworn to defend the Han imperial family.

Years after Zhuge Liang's first failed Northern Expedition, he embarked on a second expedition. Zhao Zilong had reached the age of 71 by then, hence Zhuge Liang had doubts about allowing him to join in the expedition. However his persistence ensured him a role in the expedition. The Chancellor handed him two satches, instructing him to open them as per situations. Zhao Zilong set forth on the expedition expecting to achieve a major victory once more. His first feat was the slaying of the four sons of Wei general Han Xin. As Han Xin retreated, it became obvious that it was a ploy to lure Zhao Zilong into a trap, planned by the Wei commander Cao Ying. Zhao Zilong was forced to retreat to the Yellowbird Peak. It was there where Zhao Zilong pitted his last strength against Cao Ying.

In a single one-to-one duel, Zhao Zilong bouted Cao Ying but decided to let her off. During the fight, the undefeated general received a battle scar for the first time ever in his career. The surbordinate generals of Zhao Zilong engaged in a fierce battle with the Wei forces, but were defeated after Cao Ying sacrificed Han Xin to bring gunpowder into the battlefield. All was lost for Zhao Zilong. He stripped off his armour, picked up his Piercing Spear, and charged towards the Wei forces in a last ditch effort, swearing to defend the Yellowbird Peak, and the dignity of the Kingdom of Shu-Han with the last general and last man.

Chocolate 女拳霸

Watch it online now!
Chocolate is the latest from director Prachya Pinkaew, the man at the helm of Ong Bak and Tom Yum Goong/The Protector starring the inimitable Tony Jaa.

The movie stars Nicharee Vismistananda who has been training for years in preparation for this role. She plays an autistic girl who goes after gang members to collect debts to help her sick mother. Of course, this causes Thai and Japanese gangs to take notice and go after Nicharee.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Untraceable

A cyber killer has finally found the perfect accomplice: You.

"UNTRACEABLE" is about a secret service agent, Jennifer Marsh, played by Best Actress Oscar nominee Diane Lane who gets caught in a very personal and deadly cat-and-mouse game with a serial killer who knows that people (being what they are - both curious and drawn to the dark side of things) will log onto an "untraceable" website where he conducts violent and painful murders LIVE on the net. The more people who log on and enter the website, the quicker and more violently the victim dies. Suspenseful, intense and action oriented, "UNTRACEABLE" also has a relevant and accurate message about todays society. Why are we drawn to "evil" in our media etc. Just look at the news or read a newspaper... it's all bad news and often murder, yet we are drawn to it and read about it. This film explores that but not in a preachy way but in a way that is both intense, entertaining and thought-provoking.

Snow Angels(2008)

In SNOW ANGELS, David Gordon Green explores the space between youth and adulthood, offering a glimpse into the lives of his characters at that key moment in which they recognize what growing up might mean. This exploration is the touchstone of his body of work, including ALL THE REAL GIRLS and the critically acclaimed GEORGE WASHINGTON, and is poignantly portrayed in SNOW ANGELS, the story of three couples in adjacent stages of life who are linked by powerful relationships. Arthur (Michael Angarano) is in high school. He plays trombone in the marching band. He becomes friends with Lila Raybern (Olivia Thirlby), a pretty girl who is just as nerdy as Arthur and who develops a romantic interest in him. Annie (Kate Beckinsale) used to baby-sit Arthur. Today they work in the same Chinese restaurant where anyone can see how much they care about each other, even as their lives are pulling them in much different directions. As Lila’s affection for Arthur grows, so does the ardor with which she tries to express it. While he clearly enjoys the attention, Arthur must deal with the fact that his parents (Griffin Dunne and Jeannetta Arnette) are splitting up. Meanwhile, Annie’s first marriage to Glenn (Sam Rockwell) has ended. A man with a troubled past, Glenn used to drink but has since found Jesus Christ and lives with his parents. Hoping to rebuild his life by getting a job selling carpet, Glenn also tries to reconnect with Annie as he shows up to visit their very young daughter. A film for grown-ups, SNOW ANGELS is about a precise moment on a cold winter morning when Glenn and Annie’s past catches up with their future. For them, and for Arthur, nothing will ever be the same.
